Ins & Outs

In!
Heat packs & Panadol - it definitely is not a great time of the month for me! only two things that work.

Lip Balms & Moisturisers!
Golly, when they said accutane drys your skin out... i NEVER imagined to this extent! i walk around the house with moisturiser caked on... yet my skin is always dry. my lips are becoming cracked, i have never had such dry skin... Ouch!
has anyone been on it/have tips for me?!

My Pup - so adorable & loving, yet very annoying! haha he follows me around the house like a toddler even when someone else is home! i would love just 5 minutes to myself, thankyou!

Doing Homework on my bed :D hahah not the best of ideas, but it gets it done :)

Out!

Dry Lips! & Dry Skin - very painful & a nuisance! fingers crossed it doesn't lead to 'no makeup' days. im all for them! but only when i have good skin! i acutally cant wait till that happens :)

Being Busy - i hate not having time to make videos or blog, my life is consumed by architecture and work! i hate the work load & i am constantly Stressed, that's probably another out, STRESS!

Trying to do assignments from pictures - i caved in and bought the book. gosh life is so much simpler! hahahah :)

  1. Ahh glad you bought the book! It does help doesn't it!
And poo to your skin and lips being so dry. My sister has really dry skin and uses pots and pots of Nivea Moisturiser and has used it since she was about 15 (she's now 27) so maybe try that?

  3. Hi Holly,

Dry skin feels horrible and makes putting on makeup such a chore :( I have had similar experiences when I had acne and eczema.

I recommend using moisterising brands such as Aveeno, Eucerin and E45. As for lips I found Elizabeth Arden 24hour cream worked for my chapped lips. Sometimes not always over the counter products work in my experience. Hopefully these are accessible in Australia. Im not too sure.

Anyways always enjoy watching your videos and reading your blog :)

  5. I was on accutane last year.

    Recommended products:
Body - Cetaphil lotion (I went through probably 5 of these).
Lips - Rose salve or Nivea lip balm (original one in dark blue packaging).
Face - As rich as your skin can take without breaking out, and make sure it's oil-free so it doesn't clog pores.

I actually filmed weekly videos on my accutane experience - if you're interested in the exact side effects I encountered and how I dealt with them, you're welcome to check out my youtube channel: www.youtube.com/shampoop118
The accutane videos are relatively old compared to my beauty videos, so they'll be at the bottom of my video list.

    Hope that helped you!! xx

  7. I want accutane! The dry skin is worth it! You're skin will look amazing once it's all done and said. I promise you! Don't quit.. I did and they didn't put me back on it. I believe it's now banned in the country.
